From Goose Island Beer Company out of Chicago although brewed under contract in Canada Illinois comes their “312 Urban Wheat Ale”. The beer pours a mild hazy orange colour with a white head. The aroma consists of big citrus notes, lemon, wheat, floral hops and some sweetness. The flavour is of lemon, lemon zest, wheat, grain, grassy hops and basically no bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 4.2% with an IBU of 18. This brew is not going to blow the craft beer geek away but it is a nice wheat ale and will be enjoyable on a sunny patio.
