From Torque Brewing in Winnipeg Manitoba comes their “Barrel-Aged Belgian Quad”.  The beer pours a very deep reddish brown colour with a tan head.  The aroma consists of brown sugar, dark fruits, maybe port, red wine and oak.  The flavour is of brown sugar, red wine, dark fruits like plum, oak, maybe some citrus pith with alcohol in the finish.  The alcohol content comes in at 11.2% with and IBU of 35.  I did enjoy this one although it did seem to be a bit sweet for the style.  I think this one will do well with some age.
