Transmigration of Souls Double IPA – Orpheus Brewing

From Orpheus Brewing in Atlanta Georgia comes their “Transmigration of Souls Double IPA”.  The beer poured a cloudy orange colour with a white head.  The aroma consists of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango with some sweetness.  The flavour is of tropical fruits like mango and pineapple, citrus, candied fruit, sweetness, some grain, maybe some pine and alcohol in the finish.  The alcohol content comes in at 10%.  This was the first beer I tried on tap at the brewery when I was there and I really liked it.  I was happy to bring a few cans home.

Commercial Description:  Inspired by the Orphic bone tablets which explore the dichotomous nature of life and death, our Bone Tablet series reveals the many sides of the IPA. Transmigration of Souls is an irresponsibly hopped Double IPA, bursting with life from an absurd amount of aromatic hops. You’ll experience a bouquet of orange, lemon, and tropical fruit sitting on top of a clean, dry malt body.

Food pairing as per brewery:  Transmigration of Souls is very overpowering; just pair it with another Transmigration of Souls. If you must eat, Transmigration of Souls is bold and dry, with an abundance of tropical fruit. It will pair well with spicy food.
