From Central City Brewers & Distillers (Red Racer Brewing) in Surrey comes their “Frozen Ghost American Barley Wine”.  This beer  was Day 11 in the collaboration Alpine Adventure Pack a Christmas calendar between Central City Brewers & Distillers and Parallel 49 Brewing.  The beer pours a deep copper colour with a small tan head.  The aroma consists of dark fruit, stone fruit, toffee, caramel and some sweetness.  The flavour is of dark fruit, stone fruit, brown sugar, toffee, caramel, treacle, resin, mild bitterness and some alcohol.  The alcohol content comes in at 10%.  While this is called and American Barley Wine I would say that it is a slightly more bitter English Barley Wine and that is a good thing in my books.  I would drink more of this in a heart beat.
