From Founders Brewing out of Grand Rapids Michigan comes their “KBS” a Bourbon barrel aged chocolate coffee stout.  The beer pours an opaque black colour with a brown head.  The aroma consists of chocolate, molasses, oak, vanilla, sweetness and oak.  The flavour is of chocolate, caramel, toffee, molasses, vanilla, anise, oak, earth, ash, mild bitterness and sweetness with an alcohol backbone.  The alcohol content comes in at 12.3%.  This beer is an epic barrel aged stout and well worth the purchase and may still be in stores in a few places in British Columbia now.

Commercial Description:  What we’ve got here is an imperial stout brewed with a massive amount of coffee and chocolates, then cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish. Makes your taste buds squeal with delight.
