From BNA Brewing in Kelowna comes their “Tennessee Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Milk Stout”. The beer pours an opaque black colour with a brown head. The aroma consists of oak, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, anise and an overall sweetness. The flavour is of bourbon, oak, vanilla, chocolate, anise, lactose, ash, some bitterness and a finish of dark fruits. The alcohol content comes in at 8.25%. This is a very nice brew and something I would like to see more of from BNA Brewing. Fun little note that I got from Jill from BNA Brewing. This beer is aged in Tennessee Whiskey Barrels and it just happens that the Nashville Tennessee International Airport has the call letters of BNA.
Commercial Description: Brewed early in the year and tucked into bourbon barrels for a long winter’s nap, giving the beer a warm oaky vanilla element. Notes of dark fruit complement the spiciness from the bourbon barrels and the roastiness from the malts.
