From Four Winds Brewing in Delta comes their “Vexillum Imperial IPA” part of their Zephyrus series.  The beer pours a lightly cloudy orange with a white head.  The aroma consists of tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, grapefruit, grain and floral hops.  The flavour is of tropical fruits like mango and pineapple juice, citrus pith, grapefruit, melon, sweetness, grain, resin, mild pine and a medium bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 9% with an IBU of 100.  for the level of hops in this beer I am amazed at how low the bitterness is and just how smooth this double ipa goes down.  This is an exceptional beer.

Commercial Description:  Vexillum, an ancient Imperial Roman symbol for strength and nobility. This insistently hoppy IPA reveals notes of Grapefruit and Melon while finishing bitter, yet affably balanced.
