From Central City Brewers & Distillers (Red Racer Brewing) in Surrey comes their “Idiot Strings Cranberry Chili Session Ale”.  This beer containing containing Orange Liquor was Day 5 in the collaboration Alpine Adventure Pack a Christmas calendar between Central City Brewers & Distillers and Parallel 49 Brewing.  The beer pours a reddish amber colour with a tan head.  The aroma consists of cranberry, orange, semi sweet with hints of grain,  The flavour is of chili spice, caramel, grain, cranberry juice, orange, orange rind, herbal with a mild sweetness that meets the mild burn.  The alcohol content comes in at 4.5%.  Strangely enough the mix of spice and cranberry really works well together even with all the other flavours.  If you swing by the brewery pick some of the singles of this up.
