From Field House Brewing in Abbotsford comes their “Viognier Farmhouse” a beer with wine grapes. The beer pours an orange colour with a small white head that dissapears quickly. The aroma consists of wine, citrus, stone fruit, saison spice and sweetness. The flavour is of wine, tangerine, stone fruits, sweetness, mild tartness, sasion spiciness and almost an oak tannin note even thought I do not think this was oak aged. The alcohol content comes in at 7.8% with an IBU of 10. This is a beautiful wine / beer blend and no surprise as Field House Brewing excels at these.
Commercial Description: A summer wine beer with the funky notes of a farmhouse beer and the fresh flavours of white wine. Think effervescent tangerine, rose and peach. This beer was fermented with a saison / sach trios blend and pressed Viognier grape juice.
