From Andina Brewing Company in Vancouver comes their “Jalea Guava Saison”. The beer pours a murky orange with a white head. The aroma consists of guava, tropical fruit, sweetness and grain. The flavour is of guava, tropical fruit, citrus rind and pith, hint of grains and some yeast in the end. The alcohol content comes in at 6.4% with an IBU of 25. I enjoyed this newer brew from Andina as it is a nice blend of flavours.
Commercial Description: This farmhouse/saison ale is smooth and creamy thanks to the guayaba puree from Colombia and the amount of Belgian saison yeast and Huell Melon hops; which gives this saison a creamy champagne taste, balanced out by hints of pear, apple, strawberry and guava, characteristic spicy notes, delicate peach/guava colour and a full white head. Our current De Temporada Fruit Series beer.
