Aprikose American Wild Ale (Fellowship III) – Strange Fellows Brewing

From Strange Fellows Brewing in East Vancouver comes their first release in the 2018/2019 Fellowship club.  This is Fellowship III.  The first release is “Aprikose American Wild Ale” a beer barrel aged with Apricots.  The base beer for this blend was brewed both in 2015 and 2016 and then apricots were added in the last 6 months before this release.  The beer pours a cloudy orange colour with a small white head.  The aroma consists of apricot, lemons, tartness, vanilla, oak.  The flavour is of apricots, lemon, wine grapes, tartness, sour, vanilla, oak, nutty, sweetness and a dry finish.  The alcohol content comes in at 6%.  This is a really good Wild Ale that is only available to Fellowship Members.  Luckily for you the Fellowship is still for sale.  Click here to get yours now.

Commercial Description:  An American style sour ale, aged in French Oak wine barrels with apricots.  The base beer used to blend Aprikose were first brewed in 2015 & 2016 with a house multiculture.  Apricots were added to the barrels in the final 6 months before bottling.  This beer will further benefit from 6-12 months resting in the bottle to soften the sour character & allow other flavour elements to be revealed.
