From Torque Brewing in Winnipeg Manitoba comes their “Barrel-Aged Double IPA”. The beer pours a copper colour with a white head. The aroma consists of floral hops, tropical fruit, melon, citrus and oak. The flavour is of tropical fruit, melons, pineapple, citrus, citrus pith, saison spices, oak, vanilla, pine and bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 7.3% with an IBU of 95. You do not hear a lot about barrel aged IPA’s but this one was tasty.
Commercial Description: Aged in a French oak, red wine barrel (which we stored our first Saison, btw), this DIPA is packed with flavour. Notes of Saison, oak, vanilla and Cascade hops await you. Also available in a 500ml bottle to go!
