From Off The Rail Brewing in Vancouver comes their “Comet Launcher Double IPA”.  The beer pours a deep murky orange with an off white head.  The aroma consists of tropical fruit, citrus, sweetness, hint of pine and floral hops.  The flavour is of citrus, tropical fruit, pine, earth, resin, bready malts and a medium bitterness.  The alcohol content comes in at 7.5% with an IBU of 65.  I could have used a bigger kick of hops on this one but it was an enjoyable brew.

Commercial Description:  Our first in a serious of new IPA’s, our Comet Launcher is a nod to our newly found delight in the Comet hop. Blended with some of our other favourites, this stronger IPA has a lovely aroma and wonderful malt balance with pine and grapefruit flavours most prominent.
