Grande Cuvee Porter Baltique – Les Trois Mousquetaires

From Les Trois Mousquetaires out of Brossard Quebec comes their “Grande Cuvee Porter Baltique”.  The Baltic Porter pours a deep opaque black colour with a brown head.  The aroma consists of chocolate, vanilla, toffee, coffee, ash, cherries and sweetness.   The flavour is of chocolate, toffee, caramel, anise, brown sugar, vanilla, ash, cherries, earth, mild bitterness with a sweetness to finish it all off.  The alcohol content comes in at 10% with an IBU of 27.  This is one amazing beer and I look forward to drinking more of it.

Food pairing as per the brewery:  Smokehouse meats / Chocolates / Pralines / Strong cheeses
