Episode 41 – Hopwired Festival 2018

On Feb 24th, 2018 the first Annual Hopwired Festival was held in Vancouver at the Croatian Cultural Center. Hopwired is a craft beer and coffee fusion festival and was a blast! The team that put it on killed it and I am glad to see that it will be back for a repeat performance next winter! This episode checks in with some of the breweries and coffee roasters.

Episode 40 – Better Than Sex

Can you get any more click-bait than that?  Well maybe if you are sitting down to drink three amazing brews like we did on this episode.  We started out with Founders Brewing KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) then moved onto the hype beer CBS or Canadian Breakfast Stout.   Lastly we crossed the pond for a brew from Thornbridge Riverside Brewing in England in their Days of Creation.  Two highly acclaimed Imperial Stouts and a very well made English sour ale felt right for a name like Better than Sex.

Episode 39 – Haze For Days

For this episode we sit down with a selection of North American Hazy IPA’s. We drink a local in Strathcona Beer Company Get Down on it as well as the Quebec brewery Bièreie Shelton with the NE IPA then we move onto Old Nation Brewing M-43 and Boss Tweed and Trillium Fort Point. This was an amazing selection of beer and we recommend searching for any of these brews!

You will have to head to the Hoppy Craftsmen Podcast website or to your favourite podcast app for the second part.

Episode 36 – Arizona Hazy IPA’s

When I was in Arizona I met up with the Hoppy Craftsmen Podcast and traded beer and recorded a series of future collaboration episodes. This episode back in Vancouver we shared 6 Arizona beers from Arizona Wilderness Brewing, Wren House Brewing, Tombstone Brewing and Pueblo Vida Brewing. These breweries make amazing beer and it is well worth heading to Arizona to find out for yourself.
